Onya, Adam. Crikey is apparently influential, too. Good work!

And when is some media outlet going to report rising petrol prices as A GOOD THING?

hey Liam, good point on the carpooling. Have you seen Pat Murphy's Smart Jitney idea? Apparently they're putting a lot of effort into making it a working system right now. http://www.communitysolution.org/transport.html

It is more than possible that there will be several different types of energy available, sustainable and cheap to produce, which will fill the void of certain needs. Even light aircraft will survive due to simple conversions of the engines, thus being vital links between areas of habitation. The biggest drop will be international trade, local trades will flourish and people will put their energies into goods and services which will be necessary - for a while. Once the world has adapted to the changes, the more enterprising of us will once again push the boundaries of lifestyle and what's possible - all using sustainable means. The future is very bright!

Good work Adam getting into the nearest thing Oz has to independant mainstream media, can't wait for your primetime debate with Gerard Henderson and Andrew Bolt! IMHO car pooling deserves a plug too as will need it in the very near future, PT takes years to build/deliver.

Thanks, Adam, for mentioning my article about the implications of the Export Land Model for Australia. I think that the 5-year timeline is something that people need to get their head around. We really need to get Australians united and active.

Folks, we have a country that needs saving, and a future that needs to be pulled out of the fire.
